News Alert!!!!!

I have a bittersweet announcement to make.
After many long hours of thought, I have come to a very difficult decision concerning DaBookLady's Swap......I wanted to let everyone know how much I have enjoyed swapping and running this swap, but as the saying gooes, "all good things do come to end sooner or later".....with that said......


December will be the last month for swapping here until ???????????....

DabookLady is taking a long needed rest from swapping starting January 2009.

It does not mean that the swap will not open up again at a later date.....I just need to take some time off from it. So..... if you want to swap in December go ahead and comment here and I will start a partner's list for the last month of swapping at DabookLady's Book Swap...


When DaBookLady starts the swap up again you will all be notified by email to see if you are interested in rejoining the swap... [be sure I have your correct emails]


This was a hard decision to make, as I have very much enjoyed knowing each and everyone of you. Even if just in the "blogosphere." Thank you, for all your friendship and support. ...online friends are the best and I hope that you will still visit my blogs and keep in contact with me.....

Hi there Cathy, sorry I did not get this post up last week but I was very busy with Halloween. I pisked it up Thursday, I think it was from the PO....and I really liked the book and the handmade bookmark...very nice...and I have already been using the scented spray...yummy smells like I am baking an apple pie...thanks for the Halloween candy too... :) DaBookLady

I have sent out invites again to those who are not signed up. You must except the invite from google to be able to view the address blog. If you did not get it look in your "junk" file. Please let me know if you did not get this and I will send again for the 3rd? 4th? time....Everyone should be signed up for this so they can get all members addresses. New monthly format:
1. Each month you will follow the monthly theme
2. You choose your partner from the list
3. You will comment here who you wish to swap with
4. Email that person and ask them if they want to swap
5. DaBookLady will then post partners
6. If they agree you will email DabookLady who you are swapping with
7. The partners will be posted on the blog [you can swap with more than 1]
8. Then you will get your partner's address on the "Swappers" page
9. The swap will be the same as before as far as time limits
10. You will mail your package to that partner by the end of that month
11.You will post your thank you and photo on the blog
12. You will always let the hostess, DaBookLady, know when there is a problem

Right now I am very disappointed in the response and follow up in this swap. So I have decided that we will change the way we swap here....our list has dwindled down to almost nothing. The new way should be helpful to secure those that swap here that they will receive a package.

The new format for Sept. will be as follows:

A little about Reina: "She LOVES to read.
She has read the majority of her favorite authors, and is finding new authors by default. She loves dean koontz and has read the majority of his books. the same goes for stephen king. She hasn't read many of the new books, last 3 years or so. the only kind of books she just really hasn't gotten "in to" are romance novels, the bodice rippers. her mom loaned her a book by judith krantz, and she was in a state of depression for a week. other than scrapbooking she has yet to find a craft that she doesn't adore, and maybe if she tried harder at scrapbooking she would like it better. she has 2 beautiful little girls. one is 2 1/2 and the other will be 9 in november. Her hubby and her will celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss in december."

A little about Patricia Anne: "She is 25 years old. has been married for three years. She has a stepson who is 9 years old along with her own 2 year old little boy, and a three month old set of twin girls. She teaches Theatre Arts to 7-12 graders. she has participated in one apron swap and has joined the crochet swapblog. She loves arts and crafts things, but regrettably she is just now learning to sew, crochet, etc... she has been working on crocheting for awhile now, but she hates everything she has done so she always unravel my work. She LOVES to read, scrap book, (try to) draw, (try to) cook, make lanyards, and work on latch hooks. She is also a huge fan of learning so anything anyone can teach her in the crafts area would be wonderful."

Hi Jayne, And thank you for a GREAT package...I got not one, two, or three books, but 4...and a cute MM frame, since I collect her stuff it is perfect, a pretty bookmark, actually 4 of them, and a Red Hats key chain, nad a funny mug, I love it...and some flower sticky notes..and of course good candy...yummy :) Thanks sooo much again...
