I would like to send out a huge thankyou to jayne who this month really spoiled me. she bought me not one but two books from my wish list. Long way round by ewan mcgregor and race to dakar by charlie boorman. these are both books i have wanted to read for a while and now i cannot wai to start them. not only did she send me books he also sent me a cell phone charm and a great tool for my knitting which i could not find anywhere. so a huge thankyou to jayne.

My Thoughts

I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to Debb for creating this site and giving those of us whom like to read a chance to meet new people, read new authors and subjects and receive a great package every month. I appreciate the time and effort that you have spent since launching the site. It was not always easy or fun. I will truely miss being apart of the group and miss those in the group. Some I know only slightly and others on a more personal level. Debb, I hope that after the new year you will resume the site. But the most important thing is for you to get the rest and destress that you need.

For everyone else I would just like to say it has been a pleasure being assoicated with you. I wish you all the best that life has to offer and hope to keep in contact with you. Until then.....

Please forgive not having a picture, seems blogger doesn't want to upload my picture. I wanted to apologize to Patricia my partner for not getting this posted before now. She sent such a wonderful package. Of course the candy corn was at the very top of my list. I love the stuff. A candle that you could just eat up. The cutest headband with flying bats on top. 3 great books that, I have started reading one of--the Anne Perry one, the book by Kathey Reichs-Grave Secrets, can't wait to read and last but not least a really spooky one The Book of the Supernatural. EEEK!!!! She has so sent a pair of socks with Yes Snoopy and they are so warm. And a pretty oven mitt in fall colors. Such a wonderful swap partner. The next gal is in for a treat.

My September Goodies

I have to start out by apologizing to my sweet swap partner Debb. I received your package on Monday and took pictures and everything, but I lost my cable to put the pictures on the computer. So today I borrowed a camera from someone else and took pictures.

With that being said...my package ROCKED! I received:

My Sept. Partner Jayne

I can't speak any other languages well so I will just have to say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, in English. I must have been a good girl at least part of this year to get such a great package. Jayne you have a knack for going beyond the usual. Jayne sent me 2 books I requested. One I have just started reading and really am enjoying. I don't know if you can see it very well in the picture but she sent the most beautiful soap, it looks like a chuck of real jade, so pretty and unusual and smells heavenly. Another little book (I love those) on Family Traditions. A pretty pink rose, kitty cat cell phone charm, book mark, a beautiful silver rearview mirror dolphin charm (love those), pretty note cards, travel kleenex (you never have enough of those). Some hot Dentyne gum and I do mean hot!!!!!. The sweetest heart ornament it opens and says "True Friends". And of course to mark my passage in reading a great bookmark. Hope I didn't forget anything. Looks like I will have to update my Christmas list. Thank you again for starting of the new fall swap season. Looks like it will be a great one.

She has read the majority of her favorite authors, and is finding new authors by default. She loves dean koontz and has read the majority of his books. the same goes for stephen king. She hasn't read many of the new books, last 3 years or so. the only kind of books she just really hasn't gotten "in to" are romance novels, the bodice rippers. her mom loaned her a book by judith krantz, and she was in a state of depression for a week. other than scrapbooking she has yet to find a craft that she doesn't adore, and maybe if she tried harder at scrapbooking she would like it better. she has 2 beautiful little girls. one is 2 1/2 and the other will be 9 in november. Her hubby and her will celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss in december."

She has a stepson who is 9 years old along with her own 2 year old little boy, and a three month old set of twin girls. She teaches Theatre Arts to 7-12 graders. she has participated in one apron swap and has joined the crochet swapblog. She loves arts and crafts things, but regrettably she is just now learning to sew, crochet, etc... she has been working on crocheting for awhile now, but she hates everything she has done so she always unravel my work. She LOVES to read, scrap book, (try to) draw, (try to) cook, make lanyards, and work on latch hooks. she sent 2 great books one is called miss invisible and i cannot wait to read it and the other a collection of scifi short stories. a very pretty bookmark. coffee and some of my favorite candies sponge bob crabbie patties ( i never said i was grown up and my kids hate that they don't get any of those) a clock which i am planning on putting in my craft room. also the cutest plastic bag holder in the shape of a chef.

Tracy sent swap gifts from Florida including a state towel and key ring. I can't tell you how much fun Lailah is having with the balls she sent!! Nothing like new toys to keep her busy. Max pretty much ignores toys most of the time, but I'm sure he appreciates being remembered! :)

Thank you so much Tracy. I am sorry it has been so long in the posting. I received this wonderful pacakage for my Feb. swap. Between camera problems and then computer problems my photos have been in the dark. LOL. The lifesavers sure fit into the month for kisses. A great pink scarf (breast cancer awareness) a trinket box with a red heart on top, snazzy pencils, a kitchen towel with Florida on it, a pretty dolphin keychain, do love my dolphins and much more. And last but of course not least G.R.I.T.S book, Girls Raised In The South. Read it right away, and loved every minute of it. Brought back memories of the Designing Women program in the 80's and 90's. This couldn't have been your first book swap. Great package.
